The International Institute of St. Louis is seeking a full-time Outreach Coordinator to conduct outreach to local organizations around the cultural and health needs of incoming refugees, SIV, and Afghan parolees. This role will be instrumental in coordinating communication efforts between IISTL and community partners to increase awareness of services. The position will support the enrollment process and provide case management to clients. This is a non‑exempt position that reports to the Social Work Program Manager.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Conduct outreach to local community groups, inclusive of medical/behavioral health groups among others, identifying training needs and opportunities
  • Assist in the enrollment of clients for eligible programs
  • Support cultural competency training initiatives in the community
  • Respond to community requests for information/trainings
  • Provide case management to clients – housing needs, financial requests, utility support, etc.
  • Document case notes in the database for all client services
  • Document contacts in the community; maintain enrollment and outcome data from outreach events
  • Perform other appropriate duties as assigned

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, Canva, Prezi
  • High comfort level in working with computer systems;
  • Must have knowledge of and the ability to adhere to confidentiality standards;
  • Must be cordial in working under pressure and/or meeting deadlines;
  • Ability to follow tasks through to completion;
  • Must be able to work well both independently as well as part of a team;
  • Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to travel

 

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of combined experience with community outreach, case management, and work with vulnerable populations
