The Career Development Coordinator will provide program support and service to clients in the STL Career Pathways (STLCP) program. This role is designed to see successful implementation and follow up of the STLCP program: to facilitate professional advancement of refugees in St. Louis and help to increase their understanding of career pathways, obtain the means to secure professional certification or skilled employment, and equip them with the knowledge and tools to succeed in their chosen career paths.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Work in collaboration with the Career Advancement Instructor and the Workforce Solutions Department for the recruitment and enrollment of clients into the STL Career Pathways program
  • Oversee documentation and reporting methods of STL Career Pathways program
  • Maintain regular oversight of program procedures and adjust accordingly
  • Collaborate closely with the other departments' staff to assist in creating synergy amongst the program's training, prescreening, career advancement, service, and outreach strategies
  • Complete all associated grant reporting and lead quality assurance efforts to maintain program fidelity
  • Ensure adherence to program guidelines and provide reports and follow-ups according to required deadlines
  • Develop and maintain strategies to ensure continuity of care for enrolled clients
  • Ensure confidentiality of all client records and information
  • Convene quarterly meetings of community stakeholders.
  • Expand and build relationships with regional workforce development entities and training providers
  • Interacting with community members relative to current projects and initiatives;
  • Participating in departmental and organizational meetings and events;
  • Performing other assigned duties as necessary for the successful operation of the organization.

 

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in social sciences, business administration, human resources, social work, psychology, education, or a related discipline or equivalent experience
  • At least two (2) years of experience in in the delivery of social service programs, workforce development, career counseling, job placement, or related field is preferred.
